Gentle Readers-
Out here on the prairie, life is good. The sun is back. The birds are back. But most importantly, Zack has no cavities.
We are an industrious lot, we Midwesterners, and we have been very busy despite all the gloom and doom.
Zack and I are half-way through our cookbook. We are starting a new business. We are sewing fabric into beautiful
wraps that can be used and Re used instead of wrapping paper. Very eco friendly. Very heavy on the sentimental.
They are also very pretty. We hope to be up and running by Sept. Will keep you posted.
Here's a recipe from our cookbook that you can whip up in a pinch when unexpected company drops in. Remember,
these are gluten free but delicious none the less.

Mondays never fail to bring much merriment to BlogginMomma. Today, I started chuckling from almost the time I got up. Imagine my amusement when I see my GOVERNOR, on The View. How many different ways can a man say he didn't do it? Well, there's the MLK way, the Gandhi way and my goodness even an Oprah way. I wonder which way is the *bleep*ing way? Now there's a school report on the political process worth writing.
All through the entire interview I just could not stop thinking about his hair. Mousse or gel? Hmm, I'm thinking gel with a light misting of hairspray (for those windy days we get so many of here.) And doesn't it bug him that his bangs are just above his eyes? (The better to conceal my shifty eyes, my pretty.) Who has hair growing off the front of there forehead? (oh, how fortuitous)
Still, every now and then I can't help but heave a big sigh for Our Girl and Big Dog. I saw her on the telly the other day. Beaming. That's right, bide your time girl. There are ways. And ooh, do we know the ways. Can you say "Shadow Government?"
Well, it's off to "Boogie Nights " for me.

It is now the 26th year in a row I have made a resolution to lose weight and the 26th time I have broken it. I know what you're thinking - "What's wrong with her, she should stop making resolutions." So true, and yet somehow I cannot stop.
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the entertainment value of the news has been sucked right out of the shows. Where's Hillary at 3 am, Sarah Palin in her bikini shooting a moose, Rush Limbaugh leading the troops in Operation Chaos? (What, you watch the news to become an informed citizen! Spare me. I'm just lookin for some cheap thrills.) No drama Obama is putting it mildly. Housing crisis, banking crisis, Gazan crisis, and still the dude puts me to sleep.
.
Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, a greedy foreign conglomerate, Rio Tinto, sent one of its minions, Kennecott Minerals, to explore "The Wild". Amidst the trees, the swiftly running streams, the dens and burrows of furry little creatures (some bipedal), they found a trove of riches. Millions of dollars of nickel lay only 1500 feet below
the headwaters of the Salmon Trout River.
What did the evil conglomerate promise the citizens of The Wild in exchange for these precious minerals? 100 jobs to last 6 years and a Wild that will look as untouched as the day it was made by God, as do all the others. Take a look.
America, we can do a lot better. Years from now let's look back and say "This was the time, that we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves." - BO

Gentle Readers-
BlogginMomma has been so obsessed with this years election that she has neglected to tell you a little about myself.
There are three of us out here on the prairie, me, my husband and my son. My son has autism and we have been happy homeschoolers for the past 10 years.
My husband, The Dave, is self-employed and specializes in employment law. He loves all sports but especially baseball.
My son, Zack, loves geography, biking and FOOD. He is a good cook and a pretty adventurous eater.
BlogginMomma also loves to cook, bike, and putter in my organic garden. We are committed to improving our carbon footprint and are removing our lawn and replanting with natives. Clearly, I'm a political junkie.
We're dedicated to buying American. So if you're a small business that can proudly say your product was made in the US, give us a shout-out and we'll put you in our links.

Is Barack Obama losing? Now you know I'm a big HIllary fan. And while I never wanted BO to beat Hillary, I never thought he could lose to McCain. However, I like to make the best out of every situation (check out my Hillary 2012 items on www.zazzle.com/cporter2* :) And if the Republicans win, Bloggin Momma is going to need the extra dough as the economy starts circling the drain and we trade in our forks for chopsticks.
Now before you get your panties in a bunch, you know I'm a satirical girl. But don't let the yucks fool you. Bloggin Momma has started to really worry. Can either of these candidates bring us our happy ending?
Hey kids - let's lighten up! Check this one out:
